About the College
With the blessings of Sant Attar Singh ji Maharaj—a Saint and great visionary—Sant Attar Singh Trust headed by S. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa and the Akal College Council with its president Capt. Dr. B.S. Punia and Secretary S. Jaswant Singh Khaira started Akal College of Physical Education in 2006, with a vision to produce committed and quality Physical Education teachers.
Akal College of Physical Education, under the leadership of Principal Dr. Geeta Thakur and dedicated staff, has grown into a productive human resource institution of northern India with laurels in Academics, Sports and extracurricular activities.
The basic aim of ACPE is to produce quality teachers through quality education and training in Physical Education, Sports Sciences, Medical Support, Sports Nutrition and Sports Psychology.
The ACPE conducts programmes from undergraduate to postgraduate level and organizes conferences, seminars and training camps for research in sports.
